42 People Killed in Kaduna Communities’ Attack, Reprisal Bandits have attacked Madamai village in Kaura local government area of Kaduna state killing 34 people and injuring seven others, while setting buildings ablaze, according to a security report. Eight people were also reported to have been killed in a reprisal attack in Kacecere village Zangon Kataf local government area, also of Kaduna state, while six people were injured and many houses razed by the attackers, according to Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan. States Hire Hunters, Fear Spreads as Schools Resume Amidst Rising Abductions Anxiety has gripped some parents, guardians and others stakeholders, particularly in the northern part of the country as more primary and secondary schools resume on Monday (today) amidst rising cases of abductions and banditry. The PUNCH reports that while schools in some states like Ogun, Ekiti and Kano resumed for the new academic session on Monday last week, the Federal Capital Territory schools are resuming today. Katsina State schools are will resume next week. Stakeholders are, however, worried about the safety of school children. Nasir Ahmad El-rufai of Kaduna State has appealed for calm over the killing of Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali of ECWA Church, Kibori-Asha Awuce.
