Millions of Nigerians remain displaced due to the ongoing genocide, religious hostilities and pervasive insecurity. The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) estimates that there are 3.6 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Nigeria, but ICON Estimates that there over 5 Million IDPs (i.e. official camps, unofficial habitations, or informal collective settlements).
